Introduction

CevicLabs operates the Job Docket application. This page explains how we handle data when you use it — in short: we don't, you do.

How Job Docket handles your data

Job Docket is built as a local-first tool. That's not a compliance phrase, it's the actual design:

Local storage. Every job log, client record, and maintenance note lives in a private database on your own device. Nothing is copied anywhere else.
Location. We use your phone's GPS so you can log exactly where a job site is. That location data stays on your device — it's never sent to us or anyone else.
Camera and photos. When you photograph site work, Job Docket borrows your phone's own camera app rather than asking for camera access itself. The photos are saved to the app's private storage on your device. We never see your photo library, and we couldn't if we wanted to.

Sharing your data

We don't collect, transmit, or share any of your data with servers, cloud storage, or third parties. It stays on your device, full stop.

That said, Job Docket lets you share your own data when you choose to — a backup file, or a finished job report as a PDF. You can send either one wherever you like, using your phone's own share function: email, Google Drive, OneDrive, wherever suits you. That choice, and that transfer, is entirely yours. Job Docket itself never sends anything anywhere on its own.
